My First

This is my first purse and sweater. I crocheted the sweater for my younger grandson for Christmas. The purse was for me to try to use the Fancy Fur and suede yarn that I kept eyeing at the store. I guess they call it eyecandy. I am now working on my second purse like the one above but have found another pattern I want to try.

Been a long time.

Well it has been a long time since I last post in my blog. Mid August my sister and I decided to move back to Florida, so I was very busy packing the household for the move. We cross the country again with the car packed to the roof, stopped by my friend in Texas. Everyone was so happy that we came back. I really lijke being here in Destin. Well we have been back now for a few months and we have been busy just getting back in the groove of things. Once again I am slowly getting back into crochet. I made my first sweater for my younger grandson and made my first purse. Will post pics later since I was having a hard time just to get into my blog.

Needles

The above right pic needles belong to my mother. They are wooden and I have no clue what size they are. The pic on left is needles I use when I crochet a few afghans with two strands. They sure did come in handy. The sizes are N and Q.

Well, I worked all day yesterday on doing a pic gallery. Below is a pic gallery on my participation in Relay for Life last year. Today I am going to try to do one on some things on crochet, this is only a learning process, so forgive any errors. :-)

Well I do not know what I did yesterday to get my pic gallery on this blog. For today I have racked my brain and now I give up. Just do it another way.

Pics frustration

Well my pics are not that good. Again very frustrated on this task. Next step is to work on a pic gallery thru the internet . I am not computer savvy so it is trial and error for me.
I did get a suggestion from one of CP members and will work on it also.

I finally got my pics back to post on my blog. However one pic is not very good. It was a hat and scarf that I crochet from the yarn I got on clearance at Michaels. Bernat Velour was the yarn and I hated every minute I worked with it. Hope they do not fall apart when it will get used. Since I have not crochet for a few years I am in the learning stages of the yarn all over. I have done poncho, hats for Afghan and squares for warm up America. On my hook now is the baby sun suit I ask for the pattern my mistake in a website. Thanks everyone for giving the info on where to find it.

Hooking again

Well it has been almost 3 months since I moved back to California. Have not regretted the move from Florida to Palm Springs. It has been six years since I picked up a crochet hook. I do not why I did not crochet in Florida but it has robbed me of the new things that is going on in the crochet world.
I am amazed in the different types of yarn that is out there now and what was in style in the 70 & 80's is now back. I am now in the process of doing a Shaw, neckscarfs and hats. They are my projects to get me back in the groove of hooking again. Maybe I will pull out the two afghans that are half done from six years ago and finish them. I have been reading emails of Crochet Partners and I am leanring new things. Now I have a place to go when I have a question or problem.
